Private Parties Three formats are offered to enhance the quality and fun of any home, non-profit or company event. 1. The Customized Wine Tasting This Customized Wine Tasting can serve as an “opening act”, a side-event, or the main event. The theme of the tasting can be one or more grape varieties, wine regions or countries or styles. (click “Tasting Themes” tab for other topics) The tasting normally lasts for one to one-and-a-half hours and takes place in a relaxed, interactive, fun environment. Four to six wines are served. Comments on the wines can be given at the beginning of the tasting or during the tasting as each new wine is poured. A lively combination of information and lore about each wine is designed to add to the enjoyment of the wine and the event. Ned leads a "blind tasting" for a Westchester non-profit organization. 2. The "World of Wine in One Hour" Fast and entertaining, this event for 25 to 250 guests, will feature the 7 major grape varieties of the world: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Guests will learn about the grapes, the wine regions, and the distinguishing qualities of each wine and which wines match best with food.... all in an informal, entertaining, and interactive style.   3. The Wine and Dinner Event A sit-down dinner, matching wine with food will please the palates and spark the spirits of all participants. Four to six wines are matched to the various dishes. Before each course, guests are given a lively introduction to the wine selected for the next course. The Wine School will work with the sponsor and the Chef on the selection of dishes and matching wines. Ned introduces the wines and food at a five course "France meets California Wine Dinner" for 80 at the Hilton Rye Town.   Each event can be tailored to your needs.
